Very cool show with a very cool guest doing GREAT things for our military & their families!
The Boot Campaign was created to generate American awareness about the needs of our military men and women coming home from combat. The money raised from boot sales will go to the Lone Survivor Foundation and other charities to support our returning active duty and combat veterans.
Our military heroes volunteered to put themselves in dangerous, life-threatening situations to preserve human freedom. The Boot Campaign motto is simple…“When they come back, we give back.” The Boot Girls want every person within reach of our website to tangibly give back to our troops by buying a pair of combat boots and proudly wearing or displaying them.
The Boot Campaign website has links to twitter, facebook & links with how YOU can start your own "boot movement" in your community, work or organizations: http://www.bootcampaign.com/
Some events that where boots have been worn: to welcome back returning military family members, at a military funeral (this one made me cry), when a loved one is getting deployed, soccer moms at their kids soccer game or my idea of Boot Monday (to wear to work on Mondays to face the week with courage!). One donor bought boots for his entire office to show support & solidarity for our military! What can YOU do to get involved?
OK-boots are sold on the Boot Campaign site for adults ($129.99) and kids ($45 and on pre-order, available in 9/10)-how cool would THAT be for back to school? There is also a "When They Come Back" CD ($12.98) that will also be released in September of 2010. Check it out!
